Hotel Royal, Singapore

My stay at this hotel was a mixed bag. The rooms, while generally clean, could use some basic touch-ups to freshen up the dated feel. I appreciated the ability to make local calls from the room and have the convenience of watching TV and dining in. The service, though unfriendly initially, turned around positively with a fantastic team that was warm, helpful, engaging, and sincerely interested in meeting my requests. The location was excellent, being near the Novena MRT station on Newton Road in Singapore, which made it easy to explore the city using public transportation or calling for taxis. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with quick refills of food contrasting with some disappointing and delayed meals. Despite these mixed experiences, the safe area and discreet setting added a level of comfort to the stay.

Although my room wasn't ready and I had to wait for more than one hour, once settled, they were spacious, clean, and the services provided were excellent.
